Camp begins at the buses!

An important part of the camping experience is the bus ride to camp. It is for this reason we do not encourage parents to drop off or pick up their children at camp. The bus ride is an important part of the “bonding” experience.

Campers will arrive at camp located at 7052 Loop Road in Highlands East, around noon time. If we need to make a couple of stops enroute, we will do so based on the needs of the campers.

Campers departing to return home from KIDS OF CANADA NORTH

transportation4Campers coming home on our weekly change-over will board the bus at 7052 Loop Road in Highlands East at approximately 2:00pm. If we need to make a couple of stops enroute, we will do so based on the needs of the campers.

Campers will return back to the same spot as their departure, in the south parking lot at Westmount C.I. located at 1000 New Westminster Drive on the northwest corner of New Westminster and Bathurst in Thornhill. The south Parking Lot is the 2nd lot located behind the City Playhouse Theater.

Bus Arrival Time – between 5:00 – 6:00pm – an email will be sent to all parents when the bus has left camp, and additional information if we are running early or late.

Visitors’ Day & Change-Over

trasportation3At KIDS OF CANADA NORTH, each Saturday is change-over as well Visitors’ Day too!

Upon the arrival of our new campers each week (around noon each Saturday), we will be hosting a welcome BBQ for new campers, staying campers, campers going home and parents who are attending for Visitors’ Day.

The camp gates will be open from 11:00pm to 2:00pm for Visitors’ to come and see their campers and the camp. Campers are not permitted to leave the property for any reason! For example, Visitors’ are not permitted to take campers into town etc…

After our welcome BBQ, Campers departing camp to go home will receive a Sweet-Send-Off prior to boarding the bus. The Bus will depart at 2:00pm, at which time, parents’ who have come up for Visitors’ will also depart.

How do I send up something that my camper has forgotten or requested?
If your child is staying for more than one week, you are more than welcome to meet the bus each Saturday to send up items required. Or you may courier (do not mail, must be couriered) a package to:
